Laser

Laser therapy works best following a massage, but it can also be performed separately.   Laser energy stimulates cellular activity to assist with healing.  When targeted at acupressure points, the laser helps to stimulate these points to a deeper level than massage alone, helping pain relief and endorphin release.  The laser energy also helps to block pain transmission from nerve cells.

The laser is a cold laser; no heat or pain is generated by its use.  The system is approved by the U.S. FDA for use on animals as a Class IIIb laser and has been imported into New Zealand specifically for my practice.
